i love this picture.
doesn't it just scream s.u.m.m.e.r.???
and speaking of screaming (cough)...even though Ellie limp-bodied herself out of my arms at target today, only to run off, rip open a bag of paper towels, run the opposite direction, grab an Ariel doll..whom she insisted was already "Ellie's", and rip off her head (now that's love)...only to cry out in terrible sobs as she bashed her head on the undoubtedly perfectly clean (smirk) cement ground "Ellie's Ariel! Ellie's Ariel" after i confiscated that poor decapitated doll. now this would have been bad and embarrassing enough (since people were beginning to stare like i was taming a lion cub at the zoo)...but 5 minutes later as we were waiting impatiently at the check-out stand, i was privileged enough to experience another melt-downy-tantrum-thingie because "Ellie wants to push buttons!" on the credit-card-swiper-mabob...and to show me who's boss when i wouldn't let her push the (wrong) buttons as i tried to input my Debit pin, she slapped me in the face and whipped her all-too-flexible lil body back faster than an ice cream cone melts in july....and bashed her head on the side of our cart...
so we came home. had some much needed lunch. i tossed the crazy skinny-britches in her crib...
had a few dozen otter pops...and took one look at this picture...
and all was forgiven.
because, she's freakin' cute.
and i love her.
even if she makes me want to scream. loudly. and often.
happy june!
& happy summer.

Oh, Marci. So sorry, public meltdowns are the worst. And Target is supposed to be a happy place. I'm sure you handled it wonderfully well.
Great picture!
i love your posts. i hate those moments in public but you write it well
aw her bathing suit is so adorable.
oh man! I hate when they decide to throw a tantrum when we are at the store, seriously, could it be a more worse time?!
But that picture, totally awesome!
Saylor and her could be BEST buddies!! Lets not ever babysit them together... Unless of course we are at Disneyland THIS June... hint hint
hahahahaha. That's funny. So Bryant no longer wants to ride in the cart at Target. It is a very sad thing for me. I've had a couple of screaming experiences already. ha. Thank Goodness for naps :)
This gives me relief I'm not the only one with an adorable child who sometimes loses it. I get nervous to go out without Kev sometimes.
Oh, sounds entirely too familiar. :) Josh and Ellie will be good friends. They are going to be good at being two aren't they?!?
