beautiful Ellie made her debut, fashionably late, four weeks ago today.
can you believe it??!
though i can't believe it has already been four weeks...i also can't remember not having little Ellie as a part of my life. there are other things i can't remember:
what it was like to get a full night's sleep.
what it was like to be out in the real world...
what it was like to know what time of day it was for a reason other than the feeding schedule.
what it was like to think poopie diapers were gross.
what it felt like to put on a normal bra...among other things.
what it was like to stand still. or sit still for that matter.
how to put on mascara.
what it felt like to take a 10 minute shower.
what normal food tastes like...with the good spices...and chocolate...sigh.
what it was like to talk in a normal, human voice instead of a baby babble voice.
what our house looked like (well, the Chapman's house) without baby stuff...everywhere.
and, in spite of it all,
how i ever lived without her.
happy four weeks, sweet Ellie bear.

I loved the list of things you can't remember. I think it took me a good three months before I felt okay about having a social calendar again. When you feel like you can get out and not stress out, you should start coming to our playgroup! We will be meeting again on the second Thursday in July so get excited!
Wow, I cannot believe it has already been that long! She is so beautiful Marce!!! I take it I have quite a bit to look forward to on your list:) I, so far, can still sleep through the night...we'll see how long that lasts:)

That is so crazy that it has been 4 weeks already!! Time goes by so fast now a days and when you add kids into the picture it seems to go by so much faster lol... She is such a doll!!
Marci, I haven't had a chance to say congrats yet! She IS beautiful! This post kinda started to scare me (me bein' preggy and all) but the way you ended it made me smile and realize that everything is great again! :)

Lol! I love your list! It's kind of like my wonder years list. My son is going to be a year old next month and I so remember what it was like when he was a month old. You feel like your sole purpose is to be a milk machine. Thankfully it gets better;).
I wish she would have looked at my camera like that :) she is a beauty! and just wait till you cant remember what it was like to not have to have to bribe you kids to behave and what a clean house is like :) when ya coming home?
