i am, and i love it.
some reasons to love instagram:
i love how easy it is.
i love how i always have my phone on me, so i always have my instagram on me.
i love how it is not as intimidating to my kids as a big lens in their faces.
i love how i can peek into my friends' + family's day-to-day lives - some people who i don't otherwise get to see.
i also love following some of my favorite strangers' lives (like Taylor Swift. i know, how old am i? 15?).
i love how it can turn a somewhat ok pic into a really cool snapshot, using the filters and focus and borders.
i love how it has helped me capture some of the moments and expressions (the little ones that are my favorite ones) that would otherwise be overlooked and forgotten.
the only downside is that i think it's kind of lame how you have to be an iPad or iPhone user to use this app, but whatevs, it is what it is.
i've been playing a little february-photo-a-day challenge, which gives you a list of subjects to photograph every day for the month. it's not usually my style to do these things, but it's been pretty fun. here are my #febphotoaday photos so far:

seeing all of these pictures together makes me get a little teary-eyed. it's a beautiful life, this lil life of mine. how did i get so blessed?
if you're on instagram, look me up- i have my account set as private, but i'd love to see more of my blogging people in the instagram world. such a fun, easy way to keep up with one another.

Yea, Marce! I will forever be in your debt for introducing me to Instagram. It has changed my life for the better! (I know, I know, that sounds a little bit dramatic, but it's so true.) I have almost completely ditched my other camera and started relying almost completely on my cell-phone for picture-taking. My pictures may be a little below-average in quality, but they are sooo much more meaningful to me. Taking pictures of every little thing with a cell phone exposes "real life" in such better ways than a camera with a 12 lb. lens ever could...because well,...who can carry around a lens that big in their back pocket??
Your instagram photos are THE best. I especially love seeing all of the amazingly creative outfit ensembles Ellie comes up with!! She's awesome. Oh, and even that underwear shot was pretty dang cute!! What a lil ham you have living right under your Chapman roof. :)
This is so funny. I was going to do an I love instagram day too. Because I seriously love it. And I still might, because I love it that much. I feel like I'm always copying you. You are just really cool, so duh. Hope you don't hate me for it.
Also, can you not post some pictures to your public feed? Because I always want to use instagram filters but I don't always want to overload people with stupid pictures that I love. Amyway, I just don't Recognize some of your pics....that sounds stalkerish, but you know what I mean right?

Oh man I LOVE instagram. It's the best thing ever. Get yours printed (postalpix)- it is so great to have them to hold in your hand! I'm sooo glad you're doing love week and it got me going on it too !!
