just a couple items of business, all of which have to do with "welcome."

1. i'd like to welcome you to my newly improved blog... i love this intimate image captured by the fabulous Brooke. the pink, black and white are to commemorate the arrival of our little Ellie, as her nursery is adorned with pink, black and white.

2. i'd like to welcome myself, Mike, and Ellie to beautiful, green, idyllic northern california, where we plan to leave our hearts, as always. this is ellie's first time to the bay; we can't wait to spend a wonderful summer with grandma + grandpa chapman! i have a feeling she's never gonna wanna leave!

3. i'd like to welcome Ellie and Mike as the newest contributers to the mc2 = e blog! i can't wait to read many posts to come from the two loves of my life.

4. i'd like to welcome little Wyatt Robert Blodgett to earth! Wyatt, Ellie has been patiently waiting for your arrival...she can't wait to play with you! congratulations Dev and Kim!

today, 3 is the magic number.

3 is the number of kids in each of our families.


3 is the number of summers we will have lived in California after this one.
3 is the number of months we dated before saying "i love you."

3 is the number of poopie diapers i have changed today.
3 are we in our new little family (thanks Ellie!)

3 is how many years it's been since i tied the knot with you, the love of my life.

my nursery is lonley.

hi. it's me.

i'm still here.

sigh.

i really wanted to post pictures of the nursery WITH a baby...but seeing that she is being a stubborn little thing, i decided to let the nursery make its lonely debut without her.

what do you think? i really love it. there are still little things i want to add... but i love it. M really has worked his little heart out getting everything all perfect for this little person...and i just sit in there on that wonderful chair thinking...and dreaming...and wondering...and hoping that the day will come soon.

preggers update: i'm scheduled for induction on wednesday. i really want to go on my own- but i will NOT refuse the drugs if she hasn't come by then. it's amazing how you can go an entire pregnancy without stretch marks and within days notice little lines dancing across your tummy...i just keep getting bigger and bigger, which means she just gets bigger and bigger, which really makes me nervous. eek. but things are good- just waiting...and waiting.

thank you for all of your love and prayers! sorry i haven't been able to keep up with returning texts and phone calls. i love you all and appreciate your love so much. AND, i promise, the MINUTE i notice anything labor-ish, i will blog about it and keep you posted (as much as possible) on the process. can't wait for the fireworks to really begin!
